CHAPTER 6

3 months later

Shannon

I have been waxed, plucked, pulled, pushed, washed, and straightened within an inch of my life, all in preparation for my three-month anniversary dinner. Who is this woman I am becoming? Truthfully, I needed it. I might have to reevaluate my career choice if I lose another client. I lost another one today, and I haven’t figured out what is going on yet. I have kept the declining state of my business to myself, but I am on the verge of telling Trinitee because I need someone to talk to about this. I have come close to talking to Legend about it, but honestly, I expected Legend and I to have a fun weekend and go back to the status quo, but that is not at all what happened. After Legend carried me out of the club, we went back to my place and almost killed each other because we literally couldn’t get enough of each other. And every time I began to crawl back into my shell, he made sure to drag me back out. The next thing I know he is either at my house or I’m at his.

“Shit! Oww!” I say when I trip over one of Legend’s shoes on my way into my closet, and a smile plays across my lips. The man has practically moved into my house. I look at the clothes of his hanging in my closet, the shoes and even in the bathroom he has taken up residence on the other sink of my double vanity. I bury my face in one of his suits, inhaling his signature cologne, and instantly begin throbbing between my thighs. I was working from home when the first delivery came: a super-sized bouquet of flowers with a card that said I can’t wait to see you tonight for our three-month anniversary. I almost had a coronary because I needed the work, but before I could even get worked up, the second delivery came. Actually, it was one delivery with several gifts. Hair, make-up, lashes, and waxing, all at my favorite places, had been booked and paid for, and even though I have my own car he hired a car to drive me around for the day. I hopped up from my desk preparing to get to the first appointment, when another delivery showed up consisting of a vintage Channel dress, shoes, and other various accessories. I took a shower, threw on a comfortable bra and panty set, a sweatsuit, and some sneakers, and headed downstairs when I got the notification that the car was waiting for me. I enjoyed being pampered, and I didn’t have to stress or worry about a thing because Legend took care of it all. The man has been doing that since day one. He sends food deliveries, a chef, a cleaner, etc., etc. I have never been so cared for in all my life and to think it’s from Legend is just mind blowing. I don’t even want to talk about the sex.
